Costco Connections article

Don't know how many of you get the Costco magazine, but in the Sept/Oct issue there's an article called "Dog Days". It's about employers who allow pets at work. It's an interesting article to say the least, about how good it is for everyone (boss and employee's).

The interesting thing though was that there is a sidebar about finding the right dog for you. The sidebar suggests that people find a rescue or humane society to rescue a pet! Bravo Costco. Failing that they suggest finding a reputable/responsible breeder.

I just wanted to give them a thumbs up for supporting pets and rescues.

I wish more people spoke "dog"! I bring my Cocker Spaniel to work sometimes but there's one person in the office who doesn't get how to communicate with a dog. He's always getting barked at because he invades Lady's space. So I tend to leave her at home with Beena unless there's no other alternative.

I plan to take Scruffy into the office when I move to Saskatoon, mostly because I'll be living in a hotel or something when I first get there. I don't want him alone in a hotel room in case he barks his fool head off.
I have mixed feelings about dogs at work in general. I'll be one of two people in my office. If there were as many people as the place I'm at now, no way would I bring him. H'ed be quite a distraction.
Plus there is the issue of allergies...

Shadow comes to work with me every day. She has for about seven years now. On the odd occasion when I had to take the train to work because a bridge was out for driving, everyone was upset they didn't see her for a week.!
