Valerian & Cats

I was wondering if anyone knows if it is a good idea to use Valerian on our cat before we give her a bath. If so what is the dosage by weight ?

Last time we tried to bathe her she freaked out big time and bit my boyfriend, she was his cat first before I moved in.

I am open to other suggestions on how to successfully give her a bath.

Thanks

Valerian wont help with that, in general cats dont like water/baths. Why do you have to bath her? Cats are general very clean and dont require bathing unless they have soiled themselves or are very dirty??

Giving a cat a bath can stress them out alot! Good Luck

I agree about not giving a cat a bath unless there's some overwhelming reason to do so, in which case you might want to try some Earthbath Grooming Foam (http://www.earthbath.com/cats/cat-foam.php). Doesn't require water, just rub it on and towel off. Start small (make it a short session at first) and be gentle, giving lots of treats to turn it into a positive experience.
