So, what do dog owners in Quebec do for recreation?

I just moved here from BC (I'm on the south shore) and I notice one HUGE difference between BC and Quebec - I don't see many dog owners out & about! The dog park is always empty, few people are out walking, what gives?

We tried to go to a few provincial parks and got turned away. We've never been turned away from BC provincial parks and there were always tons of meetup groups, dog parks were packed, lots of dog walkers.

Are there any doggie meetup groups on the south shore? Doggie friendly national/provincial parks? I'm new so I must just be looking in the wrong place :loser: I am used to a more doggie friendly culture.

I had the same reaction when I moved here 6 years ago...it really depends where in Montreal you live. I can't talk for all areas but in the West Island, there are alot of parks and alot of dog owners walking around from morning to night....again, probably not all the west island but at least in my area (Pointe Claire).
I hope you find more doggie friendly areas soon...I am sure someone on this forum knows alot more than I do...anyway, welcome to Montreal.:D

oops...just re-read your post....you live on the SOuth Shore...just noticed. I have never really went out that way but I am sure there must be dog lovers there:shrug:
