Roses are actually pretty hardy,I have one here,we brought from the house we rented and it has to be over 30 yrs old.

This little one is an off spring of it's parent that has been in our garden for 30+ years too Chico2.
Years ago, I learned how to proprogate climbers successfully and have kept the very old ones alive through their offspring. :)
It pulled through the winter and hope it continues to thrive. :fingerscr

There's still plenty of buds to come yet. I was so happy to see it's progress so far and had hoped it would be as beautiful as it's mother.
