Finally,Wood-Pecker

I finally manage to get a couple of decent WoodPecker pics yesterday..

oh nice picture!!! we have some of those around here, and then there is a couple that are about 5 times that size!! man you can hear their knocking through the bush, when he's in our tree its unreal the sound.

Are they pileateds, Melinda? They can really put up a ruckus! But even the little ones have their moments. Last year I was sure I was hearing pileateds on the power poles--they were soooooo loud. But when I finally tracked down the culprits it turned out to be downy woodpeckers and sapsuckers banging on the metal guards on the tops of the poles! :laughing:

We get the Common Flickers,love those guys,I think they are also a Wood-Pecker,make a lot of noise too,I have not yet been able to get a pic of them though..

We used to have a couple (when we actually had a house with a beatuiful yard, and trees :yell:), and I would sit on the deck with my coffee and just watch em :D
