Rottielover April 13th, 2011, 07:35 AM Today has reached a very important day in Mercy's life. She has hit the 1 year mark. This is important because, she is the pup that beat many odds to stay with us. From being beaten to having parvo and fighting pneumonia.
I still remember the day I picked her up to be a foster pup like it was yesterday...
I love you Mercy, and thank you for fighting so hard to stay to be with my family.

Love4himies June 3rd, 2011, 06:46 AM :rip: Mercy, you had such a short life :(
BenMax June 3rd, 2011, 07:10 AM Mercy's passing is very sad indeed. I wish that things were different for this girl.
Rotties are a very unique breed and are not meant for everyone. When dealing with rotts that have certain behavioural or temperment issues, it is best to consult with professionals and/or consult with organizations that can help either re-home, re-habilitate or provide insight and support.
As dog owners, we should really know our own limitations. I know for myself, I admire the Akita but I know this breed is not for me based on my lifestyle, lack of knowledge and commitment to own such a powerful breed.
Bless your heart Mercy.:rip:
sugarcatmom June 3rd, 2011, 11:38 AM Hopefully Mercy is Brandi's guardian angel now and can watch out for her from wherever she is. :angel2:
chico2 June 3rd, 2011, 03:48 PM I am dumbfounded,poor girl did not stand a chance..:(:rip:Mercy-girl:candle:

I love you Mercy, and thank you for fighting so hard to stay to be with my family.I don't understand if she had been beaten, then had beaten parvo then fought pneumonia - you even thanked her ... then euthanized her a few weeks later why?

:(:rip: MercyReading that link just ripped my heart out :( I really hope this isn't the case. But if so - something must be done so that no other animal suffers  Has anyone who knows her personally have spoken to her? I've heard of this illness with humans, I certainly hope her daughter isn't at risk. sorry to be blunt.
RIP Mercy and all the ones' gone before *sad*
