What a scary day

Yesterday we were working in the garden. Hubby was raking the grass, I was in the back of the property burning brush. When Hubby finished he came out back, I looked for the guys only to notice that only 2 were in the yard. I immediately started calling for Kobe and Kisha but to no avail. Then the panic struck. We both started looking out into the fields and could not understand why we could not see them, they were there only a couple of minutes ago.

We went out front and our next door neighbour was out with their dog - no they did not see them. Their son was visiting so he hopped the fence and was looking around the fields. No dogs. Hubby got into the vehicle and drove down the road and into the fields looking for them. Next door neighbour was on her raised deck with her binoculars looking for them. I walked down the road to the other neighbour and they were out with their dog. No they did not see them. Next door's neighbour went across the road to the farmer (cows) surely they went there. NO.:( How could they have vanished so fast.

On the way back from the neighbours I thought I wonder if they are in the shed. Got home and checked, sure enough, they were there, thank dog. Didn't even bark or make any sound, just waited for us to come and get them.

It was so horrible to think that they were gone and I would not see them again.

:eek:Holy crap, how scary! They were probably wondering why mom and did couldn't follow their scent into the shed?

It was my first time and hopefully my last.

The last time was years ago when my 2 goldens were able to walk over the fence due to drifting. Luckily I was looking out the window and caught them in the act. Hubby had to dig a trench.

They sure keep us hopping don't they

omd, I hate when that happens! The shed, a closet, the basement...they're just so darn nosy and always want to help and they sneak into the darnedest places! :frustrated: But it does always make me laugh when we finally find them, wondering what they were thinking as they listened to us calling and looking for them... :o

Glad you found them safe and sound! :grouphug:
