We bought a large bag of IAMS puppy food for Ariel then found out about all the corn and by products in it. So we switched her to wellness. However, we still have a quite a bit of IAMs and don't want it to go to waste. Would the Humane Society accept this if we gave it to them?

Call and ask. What about rescue groups if they don't?

I had a similar situation myself. I have a 1 year old Chihuahua who's a very picky eater. He'll eat a particular food without hesitation if I give it to him as a "treat", but as soon as I start to increase the amounts and eventually have it become his main source of food, he snubs his nose at it and refuses to eat it. Because of this, I had many opened bags of different foods which had hardly been touched. I called my local shelter and explained that the food was perfectly good, and that I just have the world's fussiest dog, and they were more than happy to accept the opened bags.
Good for you for thinking of helping the shelters!!!
