I've been looking for this decal to put on the van, does anyone know where I might be able to find one?

I WANT THIS. Please, please please... DO post any info you get about it! I'm thinking T-shirts. Heck, I'd paste it all over the neighbourhood and on the front of my house if we got it up on posters.

That really does say it all. Thanks Chris!

I LOVE it, chris. Wow what a fund raiser that would be for shelters to sell :thumbs up cause I sure would buy one.

It's not quite the same thing and I couldn't find any decals, but zazzle.ca has some stuff with that line:

http://www.zazzle.ca/top_10_reasons_to_spay_or_neuter_bag-149673124066274511

http://www.zazzle.ca/top+10+reasons+spay+gifts

... and other spay/neuter merch as well:

http://www.zazzle.ca/spay+or+neuter+gifts

But I really really like the idea about a fundraiser for a shelter! That design isn't hard to make, you would just need to find someone willing to do the printing on the cheapish side.

Nifty site Fleo !

Hazel, you're a crafty-gal. Isn't there a fancy type of transfer sheet (this isn't the *right* lingo) which is super-easy to use for any photos onto any fabric or surface. I remember seeing something like it at Grand & Toy (a business products kinda store) which I'm sure is available at craft stores as well.

I'm thinking fund-raiser too L4H.

Yep, I'm pretty sure there's such a thing, MMM, though I've never used it. I think you need to use an iron to transfer an image! Not in my repertoire!

I think I've seen it at JoAnn's Fabrics in town.

I did a quick search at cafe press (www.cafepress.ca) and they have close to what you're looking for. They don't have that exact decal, but they have similar with that same wording.

Is, is! It's called heat transfer paper and you can buy it at craft stores, places selling computer accessories (along with glossy printing paper, CD stickers and the likes), hell, I'm sure Walmart sells it :D However, that route would mean that for every single item you want to make design would have to be printed, hand-cut, and ironed-on.... which is a lot of work.

Now, I know zilch about making decals*, but a better way for anything textile-y would be to make a stencil and use plain ol' fabric paint.

* But I have a lot of time on my hands right now, so I'm going to google-educate myself right now :D

Here's what I found, mummummum: http://shop.cafepress.ca/reasons-spay-neuter

And as for decals, it's terribly complicated.

Step 1: Buy decal/sticker paper.

Step 2: Design your... design,

Step 3: Print your design on decal paper, or print it on regular paper and copy on decal paper.

Step 4: Peel and stick.

One of these days, I swear, I'll google myself a degree :D

Anyway, the paper is quite reasonably priced if you buy in bulk - 50-60 bucks for 75 sheets the interwebz says - and it supposedly sticks to all sorts of surfaces, so we could be talking mugs, key chains, car stickers, all sorts of stuff.

The transfers are really easy to use. Most domestic (home) printers now a days have a choice right in the settings to use T-shirt transfers and they automatically reverse the image when printing onto the transfer page.

If you're thinking fundraiser though, it might be best to save Chris' picture and take it to a company that can mass produce fundraising items.

But could you put the decal on a magnet and then use the magnet to attach to your car???

I dunno L4H...it would depend whether the sticky stuff is on the face side or not....something else to look into.

Yep you can L4H....the only thing with putting a magnet on a vehicle is that any dodo walking along can take it off....I've already had a couple removed never to see them again :frustrated:

You also have to remember that these sites have the license to use these designs. If you choose one, you'll have to keep in mind that you may need to get permission to use a copyrighted image.

You can make up your own customized decals and magnets (along with tons of other custom products) at Vista Print. With them you could do the wording yourself and use whatever pictures you want on it. I've order so much custom stuff from them, window decals, truck door magnets, smaller calendar magnets, business cards, magnetic business cards, custom printed hats and shirts, note pads, post cards, letterhead, lawn signs, banners, posters, pens, keychains, notebooks...and a lot of it I've gotten free or with deep discounts, paying only shipping or a bit more. Once you place an order from them you get emails almost daily (would call it spam except that they really do have such good deals that you don't want to block them) They have specials on almost daily, but since they're so frequent they're for a very limited time only. Sometimes 50% off some products and a few free. Other times 80% off and sometimes they have a whole list of free items and that's when I order :D... And if you time it right they will also include free photo uploads :D You can check them out at http://www.vistaprint.ca or http://www.vistaprint.com Oh, and with the window decals you get to choose which side you want to be tacky, depending if you plan to stick them on the inside or outside of the window. I'd personally rather stick mine on the inside where they're more protected but I have tinted windows so I had to get them made for the outside or they can't be seen.

I've often seen their ads but thought since they sounded too good to be true that there was a catch somewhere. Will definitely keep them in mind now. :D

No problem! I've been happy with all the products I've ordered from them. I thought the same at first...must be a catch, a one time freebie and then you have to pay for everything but no...you can keep ordering their free stuff. Case in point...business cards. They will offer 250 free. The first time it was their basic ones that you can't really customize, you just put your info into a choice of templates. But, that was ok for me at first and I found out that you could also reorder them for free (just pay shipping). Then in one of their emails they were offering their premium cards for free so I upgraded and made my own fully customized ones and I've re-ordered some of them as well. The thing is you have to time the order for when they've specials on the items you want. Some of their free stuff comes in larger quantities like the 250 business cards, or 100 postcards, 25 magnetic business cards etc. Others it's just one and you pay for the rest if you want more...one notepad, one pen, one keychain etc. but if you just want to play around with customizing something for yourself and don't need a lot it's fun to make up stuff with your own pictures and logos. Or to see how it would look first if you're thinking of ordering more.

I just got an email today with lots of free stuff available. Now would be a good time to order if I needed more stuff. But that special is only on until April 13 and I don't need anything right now.
