Meet Kelly, a 7 year old female lab mix, who finds herself homeless, due to heartbreaking circumstances. Kelly's owner got her when she was two years old and promised to love and care for her forever. Unfortunately, her owner now has a terminal illness and has entrusted animatch to find Kelly a loving home. Kelly is affectionate and sweet, cuddly and loves her walks! She is a gentle soul who deserves to find love again! Won't you consider giving Kelly a second chance? Fill in an adoption form at animatch.ca

Kelly is STILL at the center, waiting for her forever home. She goes to meet and greets almost every week-end, hoping someone will choose her, but heartbreakingly, she is constantly passed over. On a personal note, i have a female lab mix myself, who looks just like kelly and you couldn't ask for a more loving, gentle loyal companion. My dog is 8 yrs old and still plays, runs walks and enjoys life like a pup! Please, doesn't anybody know ANYBODY who would be willing to give this sweet gentle girl a second chance??? New pics of her are up on animatch's web-site...they show what a beauty she is! Here is one of them... Don't forget, animatch.ca!

My heart breaks for her. What a horrible situation for both her and her mom :(
If I were closer (and weren't dealing with possible chemo for one of mine), I'd take her :cloud9::cloud9:

I just adore the seniors.
I'll post her on FB

Rgeurts; sorry to hear about your dog. I hope evrything turns out o.k! Losing my baby to cancer is my biggest fear! A friend of mine has a dog that had cancer and he had chemo about 3 yrs ago and is still going strong! Prayers for you and your doggie! Thanks for posting kelly on your facebook page! I have done so also and so have many of my friends.

Luckypenny; Yes we do have a facebook page! Also, if you want to post her on your facebook page, just go to animatch.ca, go to kelly's bio and click on "share to facebook". Thanks!

Thank you for the prayers, hezbglad, they're always appreciated!! :)
We started the chemo last night, but even with chemo, the best we can hope for is 563 days (or something like that!), which is still better than the 1-9 months without. The chemo won't kill the cancer, just slow it down. I'm glad your friends dog is doing well! Have you had any interest in Kelly? I will reshare her and continue to keep her and her owner in my prayers :goodvibes::goodvibes::pray:

Thanks Rgeurts! No, still no interest in Kelly. I just don't get it, we have had older dogs than her come and go quickly..i know black dogs are the last to be adopted but sheeesh! Me, i go for black dogs first!

I will keep your doggy in my prayers...i can't imagine how hard it must be for you.. (actually, i can). Miracles do happen..

Ok...I was like so crying by this point. I was literally fixing to find out how to get a dog from where ever it was she is, (as im in texas). She'd have been my christmas present for the next ten years I guess.
SO HAPPY she found her home!!!! YAY!
