Hello, I'm new here

I have a Papillon, 3/4's terrier. She is lilving with 5 other cats, one in particular she has become playmate to. I am feeling though that this play maybe causing some stress, to the cat she plays with (Tobie), and he may be letting loose on the other cats. He stalks them and jumps on them, slaps at their back paws etc., but he is not violent or rough.

My question is would it be better I had a dog playmate for Buttons, what would be suitable and maybe any affect on the other cats. Buttons has a strong dominance.

I'm pretty new here, too... I'm sorry I don't have an answer to your question, but I bet if you post in one of the other forums, you'll get plenty of replies - maybe the 'General dog and cat' forum (This forum is mainly for new members to introduce themselves and their 4-legged critters to others in the group and be welcomed to the community)
