Hi
I got this today and thought I'd post the link.
It is about how posting a pic on the web can allow people to find out where u live.
It mentions people using smart phones and certain cameras.

That is scary...lucky for me anyway, my camera is ancient and the "smart phones" are too smart for me to know how to use them so I will always be in past technology mode!

Here are instructions for disabling geotagging in smartphones (http://icanstalku.com/how.php). For pictures that already been geotagged, you can scrub metadata (http://www.digitalconfidence.com/downloads.html) to get rid of the GPS info.

I don't own a cell phone. I figure if anyone wants to talk to me that badly they can call me at home and leave a message LOL
I have no idea what the new cameras are like either, but I know lots of u know about all this technical stuff so that is why I posted it. I am way behind the times on technical things. I just tell my son I'm too old and get confused to easily now. LOL

If someone who wants to find you and knows how they will find you via the internet, it is not that hard to someone who knows how. Everyone leaves a trail on the net whether they try to or not. The more important thing is to not do things that make malicious people want to find you, or keep all communication off the internet.
