A warning for cat owners

Last week I posted about my cat who was peeing outside of the litter box, and I had no idea why, well I've figured it out, and I'm sure that others would benifit from knowing what the culprit was.

Arm and hammer litter box deodorizer...

I had completely forgotten that I had started putting this stuff in her litter box to help control the smell, and lo and behold, when I cleaned out her litter box and put in fresh litter without the deodorizer, she started using her box again without incident.

It's been a full week without incident. I hope others will learn from my experience, so pass it on.

Interesting!!!! I use that deoderizer too on occasion and my cats don't mind it as long as its mixed in with the litter and they can't see the white. Picky buggers!!! Glad you found the cause - what a relief eh??

Yes I am so glad that I figured it out, I thought my girl was on her way out... that seems to be the growing paranoia these days.

My hope is that by sharing then others can learn from my experience.
