I always knew she is a smart dog, but always seems like she'd rather be doing her own thing rather than paying attention to me, unless we're playing and it's something she likes doing.
So I ordered When Pigs Fly, Training Success with Impossible Dogs. Eureka!! Lots of great info in this one, how to get your dog to really work with you and all sorts of great advice. I wasn't sure if it would really describe Bayley or it was just me. The author, Jane Killion, has Bull Terriers, and has done amazing things with them. She does alot with free shaping behaviours, so we're a bit ahead of the game as we've done the box game and she's really good at it.
I'm looking forward to trying the exercises in the book. My biggest goal with Bayley is to get her off-leash heeling. She covers teaching that so that's my major goal. I would be soooo excited if we can accomplish that. I know she can do it. Now I have the info to teach it to her :D
