Papilloma & azithromycin (Zithromax)

Hello - Its been a while since I posted. I'm back to ask a question.

My American Bulldog had papilloma over a year ago.. This took surgery as it created a tumor like lump in between her toes.

Recently, I got a Bull Terrier - from a neighbour who could no longer care for him. He unfortunately has papilloma now, in his mouth. He's 9 months old and I've done some research about using azithromycin (Zithromax). I was wondering what your experiences are with this?

Would it also be good to give to my American Bulldog? She's not showing signs yet but if I can help beat it before it appears, it would be great.

Thanks for your advice.

On another board, some folks have had success using vitamin C since that can help with viral infections, and papillomas are typically viral in nature unless there is a secondary bacterial infection.

I've not had any personal experience but there is one thread I remember that you might want to look at: Anti biotic treatment for canine oral papilloma?? (http://www.pets.ca/forum/showthread.php?t=60473)
