Hello,

I was thinking that when we get a dog, I plan on using a week of vacation time to get things settled. Then I want to have someone, in the first few weeks, come and walk him once a day...then slowly taper it off until he/she is ok alone all day while we are at work. I have searched and searched, but can't find anyone to do it. We don't have any relatives who could do it. Any suggestions?? We don't want to hire just any random person...

Hi Raingirl,
I came across this website a fews days ago. I was considering getting into the dog walking business in my area and was browsing the internet for ideas.
It's an interesting website & you may find what you are looking for.

Whatever place you choose, do an Extensive search of it. Ask for many references of people that use/used the service and call them. Every one of them!! Ask for their vets phone number to call and ask how they treat their own pets..... See where I am getting? Never, ever take your animal there because they look like "nice" people. Jeffrey Dahmer looked nice too!

We have an actual dog daycare in Whitby now that has a store front. I don't know if your area has anything like that.

You could ask your local pet store or a vet in your area if they have any ideas.

I also agree, make sure you do a lot of research before deciding who to go with.

Jeffrey Dahmer was a serial killer in the US. The story is quite gruesome.
