Dog Sitter needed

This might be a long shot but thought I would try anyway. We are going on holiday for 2 weeks in Jan.2011 and have 2 dogs that need a babysitter. I have checked out the local shelters but I wish I could find a loving home they could go to instead. The shelters seem so cold & lonely and I honestly don't want our 2 running around with other dogs. Especially male dogs tryin' to jiggy our girls LOL We could negotiate a price and all their food is provided. One girl is 14 and a tad overweight but she is still motorin' around. The other is young and has to be kept a watchful eye on and cannot be out of the house without a leash as she will take off. So I need someone I can trust. If anything happened to my babies I would just die! Preferrably in and around the Parksville area. :grouphug:

Male dogs trying to "jiggy" your girls .....does that mean that they are not spayed?

Have you checked out any dog boarding kennels in your area? Some of them can be very good and have inside accomodations with individual outside runs.

There's a doggy day care in my area that also offers boarding services. So the dogs can play and be socialized during the day, and have a place to sleep at night.
Try checking into something like that in your area. Your vet might be able to recommend a place too.
