I just started an obedience class with my 7 -8year old golden retriever. We went to class and he started barking at the other dogs. He doesnt do that at home with the other dogs. Is this too old for him to be trained? What can i do by next thursday to help him be more friendly? i was thinking of taking him to dog parks this week. will that help? HELP ME PLEASE!!

It is never too late to take a dog to training classes. These classes should be designed to help train you to divert his barking at others. If this class does not, then I recommend you take one on one lessons with a trainer to assist.
When you currently walk your dog on leash, does he bark at other dogs or pull on the leash? If he shows any signs of aggression, I do not recommend an off leash dog park. It could be a potential disaster.
Consult again with your trainer at these classes. He/she should be able to provide you with some guidance.
Good luck to you and your golden.:thumbs up

Never too late to join a class. A good trainer should be able to help you with this issue.
