Nice to meet you!

Hello, I'm new here and wanted to introduce myself. I've had cats since I was a kid, and am currently on my second cat as a grown-up. Poly died two months ago at age 13-- she had a stroke and had to be euthanized.

I'm ready for a new cat now, so I got Squijum a few days ago. He was a rescue kitten. A family had taken in a pregnant stray last spring; the kittens were born at the end of April, and they're finding homes for them.

It's been a while since I've had a kitten, so I found this board to answer questions or suggest things I might like to do differently this time around. Thanks to people who have already answered some of my questions!
