Cats and drinking water

Years ago before pets.ca my cat used to eat dry food and I remember seeing him drink from his waterbowl on a regular basis. After I switched him to wet (2-3 years ago) I no longer see him drinking water... I figured that it's because he gets it from his wet food (i also add a bit of water to his canned food to increase moisture even further). Am I assuming correctly?

Yes you are! And you kitty is probably getting more fluids now then before, keeping him hydrated and flushed. :thumbs up

My three cats are on wet food and do not drink straight water. :)

My cats as well, except for Czari. She's the only one I regularly see drinking water. She's perfectly healthy, she just likes water.:D

I don't think you have anything to worry about, Masha.

I know when I switched my dogs to raw I was shocked (and somewhat concerned) over how little water they drank, turns out it's normal as they get the water content they need from the raw food (or, in your case the wet) :thumbs up
