Well my aunt didn't let me know this i learned when the vet called :frustrated:. anyway i guess mccloud this morning wasn't doing well. he wasn't going to the bathroom and he just was just blah. so my aunt took him to the vet and he lost weight. I guess she said he has been eating on his own but i guess not enough. The dr thinks there is still something wrong with his brain and they wanted to keep him again. my aunt said she didn't have the money to keep him so she's force feeding him again. i guess kitten milk and baby food. so far tonight he's back to his normal. he's active again and going to the bathroom. anyone ever heard of kittens having some brain troubles and growing out of it? i've never had anything like this before :(

I'm sorry to hear McCloud is stil having problems. It's good to hear that he has been doing some eating on his own.

You mentioned he was normal and active again tonight. Was he also doing some eating on his own again? Probably a good idea to supplement his food with a little force feeding even if he is eating on his own, until he hopefully starts eating enough to thrive without assistance. What kind of food is he eating at home?

What symptoms have led the vet to believe there might be something wrong with his brain? (Something wrong with his brain is a pretty broad statement). I believe you mentioned in your other thread that he sometimes "blanks out where he seems to shut down." Sounds like some kind of mild seizures. Could you describe this more fully? How long do these episodes usually last and are they happening frequently? Are there any other issues that are causing the vet to make this statement?

You had mentioned that when the blood tests were done, protein was low and a few of his other levels. Obtaining a copy of his bloodwork results would give some idea what the vet was referring to.

If you can provide more information it might be helpful and maybe someone can offer you some more feedback.

:goodvibes::goodvibes: that things get back on track for this little guy.

As hard as it may be to accept the "something wrong with his brain" may be exactly why he was found alone. The mom may have realized that and left him. :( I will keep the little one in my  and am sending tons of :goodvibes::fingerscr along to him. :grouphug: Hang tight hon. :grouphug:

How does the vet know just like that the kitten has braindamage??
Is he walking in circles, having seizures or doing anything else out of the norm???
