SAN ANTONIO - A San Antonio man involved in the 2007 torture and killing of several cats must serve three years in prison.

A judge in San Antonio on Wednesday sentenced 24-year-old Jordan Scott Mitchell. Mitchell in February pleaded no contest to three counts of animal cruelty.

Investigators say the remains of the cats had been taped to some plywood.

A co-defendant, 21-year-old Austin George Patterson, in June was sentenced to eight years in prison for the same cruelty charges.

The San Antonio Express-News reported Thursday that both men acknowledged a fourth killing in which a cat was doused in gasoline and burned alive while tied to a tree.

Mitchell told police that Patterson located the cats from families who posted ads on Craigslist seeking new homes for their pets.

:(What a sick individual! Those poor animals.:( Makes you wonder how many he actually tortured.

And, just as a side note, to help educate people, perhaps someone can list good alternative ways to place kittens/puppies if they unfortunately end up having a litter?

Um i highly doubt it. Looks like he thrives on tortouring animals. I say eye for an eye

You know that kind of scum will move onto kids and women. Just take him out to a nice secluded spot in the dessert drop him off and leave him to wither away and die a long excruciating death.
