I was just wondering what brand of cat litter people here use. I have tried a few different types and they are really dusty.

I use City Classic Cats Multi Cat litter (say that 10 times....). Alittle expensive however no dust and not stinky!

I use Shweat Scoop in the house. It's wheat based. Works great for me. In the catuary I usually use Selection from Food Basics. Only because I work there and it's handy. I make sure the cats aren't around when I dump it because that's when the worse of the dust flies but most times it's not bad.

I've used various kinds of "litter"....the regular clay type, clumping clay, Swheat Scoop, pine pellets, Yesterday's News (newspaper pellets), and Simplicity Plus Crystals. I didn't like pine pellets, as it tracked. The cats hated the crystals and my girl started pooping outside the box. I recently tried the Swheat Scoop as it is corn meal and dust free. My neuter didn't have a problem with it, my spay liked it for a couple of weeks and then refused to cover any of her business. So I switched back to the clumping clay litter which I'd used mostly, and she still refused to cover her business with that too, when she never had an issue before covering with any of the other litters for 5-1/2 years! So I had a "talk" with her and told her I wasn't too happy that she was leaving it to me to cover her business and asked her to cover it up like she used to----besides saying the words to her, visualized the scenario in my mind. A few days afterward she started covering up and has been good, except for one time. I compliment her on her good behaviour if I see her doing it. I always scoop twice a day, so the box is pretty clean. Sometimes it doesn't take much to set a cat off on an inappropriate behaviour. So far, so good and I'm keeping my fingers crossed. :fingerscr :cat: :cat: Just going to have to dust a little more often. :thumbs up

I used to use Feline Fresh Pine Pellets Litter, the stuff is awesome! Minimal tracking, mild real-pine scent, absorbs all odors, and no dust the cat or I were breathing in.

The landlord once told me "If it weren't for the meow I wouldn't know you have a cat" he couldn't smell a thing, there was no ammonia smell for his sinuses to react against - he was standing about 3 feet from a litterbox that had just been peed in.

Love the Feline Fresh pine pellets! I mix mine 50/50 with Yesterdays' news for a slightly softer texture. My kitty actually comes in from outside to use his litter box.
