Hi,
have any of you ever applied Pet Passport for your dog/cat?
If so, how to get it? how much does it cost?
My cairn terrier is 16lb. Can I take her on board as carry-on?
what airlines do allow pet carry-on?
how much do i pay to fly with my dog?
thanks

leeah, you might find some information on Pet Passports on this website.

As to cost, inquire of the airline you plan to travel on, or check out airline's website.

I know a woman who took a one year position in Germany and had to get a passport...complete with photo....for her cat.
My son flew from Minnesota to New Jersey with Raven. She's 11 pounds and he paid 100 dollars for her ticket. She was able to ride in the cabin in an approved carrier under his seat. He felt badly for her and put the carrier on his lap with the flap open and his seat mate and the flight attendant were both fine with that.

If you have a small cardboard box, or cake pan with a little litter in it, cat might go, but I've found any time I've had to travel on plane with cat, they've been too unsettled to go, and just hold it until I get to hotel, or wherever I'm staying.

I don't think my son thought much about that beforehand but she did not go at all in the carrier. Good little girl that she is she waited until they landed and he took her outdoors.
