Trail Adventures

September 6th, 2004, 06:38 PM
Well Labour day was beautiful here in Ontario and so Sadie and I took a trail walk/hike. The new harness I've been using as opposed to neck collars is wonderful. I'm very happy with it and not sure I'll ever go back to a neck collar other then for her identification which is always on her.

Here are some of the pics I took while trail blazing today! Enjoy! :D

Hope everyone had a beautiful long weekend.

WOW- simply breathtaking! Absolutely beautiful....lush, rich colors...perfectly lit by the sunlight......flawlessly "natural"....should be on a postcard or in a frame!

There was nobody else around at all!
This is a private road that leads to a jewish cemetery. At the other side there is a trail very lovely. I used to ride my bike through there as a kid. It's a little too over grown now for that.

Dreaming of Trails, get Trixy on a harness and take her LOL that would be FUNNY!

There was nobody else around, no dogs no people just some birds and rabbits and squirrels. Sadie LOVED it. She's very good at staying nearby and if she gets too ahead of me I just call her back and she comes. When we're walking the streets for a regular walk I never let her off lead but here I did and it was fine..or if I take her to the beach I take her off and let her run around like a nut she loves it! I'm pretty careful though to make sure there aren't other dogs around and if I hear / see one I put her right back on the lead.

She's a good girl :D

If anyone can translate this I'll give you a star!!!
(I have the translation)

September 7th, 2004, 03:08 PM
Luba, we're not too far North of you, and our trees have been slowly changing for at least a week now! As nice as the greenery is, you have to admit that the fall colours are just glorious - too bad they don't last nearly long enough and are followed by winter! :p You'll have to get Sadie up here one week-end so we can take the ladies for a walk along one of our Simcoe Forest trails. Not this week-end, though - Phoebe's getting spayed on Friday. :D

September 7th, 2004, 03:09 PM
Ohh good luck Phoebe :D and thanks for the warm invite!

They're changing already, YIKES and yes I do love the fall colours but am NOT looking fwd to a long dull sunless cold snowly freezing rain winter.

Heidi, is your end of the desert getting severe sandstorms? A fellow I know said you were getting hit pretty hard, but then his girlfriend insisted that it was happening just outside of Death Valley. Apparently the last storm took paint off of all the cars in a small car lot. So who is right?

September 13th, 2004, 03:50 PM
Luba, I was just showing these pics to the baby. He was "talking" to Sadie and reaching for her. Awwwww. How cute is that?! :D

By the way, we're still waiting for a) the translation of that wall plaque, and b) some tumbeweed pics. ;)

September 13th, 2004, 03:51 PM
Ohhh thats so cute :D

The translation, shuzbot forgot here you go.........

September 13th, 2004, 04:20 PM

Cactus Flower
September 13th, 2004, 06:41 PM
Oh yeah, they'll take paint off a car. Especially the sandstorms in MEXICO. Whew!

Maybe the difference between duststorm and sandstorm.
