However I just moved to the States and was wondering if anybody had a site that had more information about the midwest. There is always a ton of info. on this site about everywhere but most of it has to do with Canada and I was wondering if there were sites like this based in the midwest that had more information about things going on there. Thanks in advance.

:sorry: but I cannot help you with another site Kenny.

While I am like the vast majority (Canadian), we tend to be here for one purpose and that is the betterment of our beloved pets and to grow a friendship learning from each other's experience and knowledge.

Personally, I feel extra special knowing that you in the midwest, Goldfields in Australia and Growler in Western British Columbia (just to name a few), can all grow in a friendship, regardless of which State, Province or Country we live in. :thumbs up

65465 to the board Kenny! :thumbs up

As klmccallum said, Pets is for everyone everywhere. We offer lots of advice on just about everything cat and dog. Someone can usually find areas all over the world where you can find the foods you want to feed, dog parks, hotels that are animal friendly, etc.
Stick around. We have more folks from the States than you may think.
What pets do you have? Dogs, cats, fish, birds.......... ?

I'm from the U.S. and there's a reason I post on here. It's the most comprehensive, knowledgeable site I've come across, and the people on here have the same beliefs I do as far as caring for their pets.
There are actually quite a few people that post on here from the U.S., so I'm sure you can find what you're looking for. If you want local advice, then I don't think any national message board is going to have what you want. You'll have to find a local message board by asking around to people in your area.

Oh and the midwest is a huge region. It's over a quarter of the U.S. landwise. As far as goings on you'll want to find information for your specific state since news and laws will vary drastically from state to state and locality to locality.

Talk about not paying attention. I didn't even notice that .

kla5x8, I'm from Poplar Bluff, in southeastern Missouri. I can find all kinds of info if you need it. I know specifically about this area, but I've also been to a lot of pet places in St. Louis and my breeder is from Kansas City, so I can dig up info on the whole state. I'd be happy to help :D.

I mostly lurk here except for when I have an issue, but I`ve been on this site for several years and have talked to a couple of people who live in the same small city- never met them, just on this site. There`s a good chance you`ll find someone from your general area eventually if you stick around.
