I have an amazing male Boxer that was just recently adopted to a home in Red Deer, Alberta. He is a big boy but a gentle and sweet dog. Is there anyone travelling from Vancouver area to Alberta in the next little while that could help us out with transport and help this boy get home? If you can please let me know. It would be so greatly appreciated.

totallyhip, is there any transport companies there that you could get ahold of to ask? I have a few trucker/biker friends that will transport around here for me, most are quite helpful if you ask.

My mom will likely be driving to either Calgary or Edmonton in a early June but still working out the details (she might fly instead). This could be a possibility if nothing before that.

This is a bit of a long-shot, but there's a website called Pilots N Paws (http://pilotsnpaws.org/about/) that links up rescue groups trying to transport animals, with pilots willing to help them out. It's mostly based in the U.S. but occasionally there are Canadian pilots posting in the forum. Might be worth a shot.

have signed up for Pilots & Paws, tried to post it on their site but it is asking for a zip code so I think they do mostly just US. We'll see what they say.
