Looking for Playmate for my puppy....

I am in the process of trying to adopt a playmate for my 6 1/2 month old puppy. I want him to have someone to grow up with, someone to buddy around with. He is very good with other dogs of any size. He plays regularily with rotties, jack russels, akitas, chows, etc. He is lonely I think.
He is so happy when my friends visit with their dogs. And I think another dog here would be a blessing. We have such a loving home to provide for a puppy or younger dog.

2 dogs are soooooo much easier than 1. they play doggie games that we can't play. what breed is he?
