Hello everyone,

It has been a while since I logged in. I had joined this forum for advice in relation to my new german shepherd pup that I was getting home.

Just wanted to update the forum about her. She has grown beautifully. She will be a year old on March 23. Her potty training and my waking up in the middle of the night to take her out seems so far away.

She is loving with the children and very playful. Here are some of her pictures. I love german shepherds, they are so smart. I think smarter than what we give them credit for.

Would love to hear from other GSD lovers. Attached are some recent pics.

She certainly is a beauty.

Well I am also a new GSD owner and lover. My 2nd dog was a GSD whom I got at a shelter. He was 4 when he adopted me and passed away at 15 years of age.

Now I have another GSD that I fostered for the rescue I am with. He as well was badly abused and neglected. I have had him for approximately 6 months and it has been such a gratifying journey for us both. Smart as anything and has learned trust and kindness. He can be trusted with dogs of all ages, breeds and sizes, as well as cats that I have. With children he is just a gentle, wonderful soul. I could not ask for a better boy. Now that he is heartworm free and healthy - he will remain with me.

Though I am a huge GSD person, I can really love just about any breed. They usually adopt me and of course I am honored.

Enjoy your beautiful girl. There are many wonderful years ahead.
