Black beagle

This a.m. I found a little black beagle (I know there are no black beagles but he's identical except for coloring) this pup was walking along the river while I was down there checking on the ice. I didn't know whether to call him or not since he might have been scared and ran into the middle where he'd probably go through so just stayed still and held my breath. Very fortunately he saw me and came running over and my heart rate went back to normal. Phew! He's all black with a white tipped tail, neutered, long beagle ears and I'd say under a year and no collar. Adorable and sweet as can be. Put the word out to AC but no one as of yet is looking for him. Will have him scanned tomorrow but he can stay until I find him a good family. My Ruby (pom) is over-joyed to have another playmate whose as rough and tumble as she is.

I hope there's someone out there looking for the little sweetheart that he can be reunited with! :fingerscr Meanwhile, though, it sounds like he's enjoying his time with Ruby :D

Sorry don't have a digital and wouldn't know how to post the pics - am so technically lacking - will make that my New Years resolution. Anyway this little guy's name is Boo and he lives about 3 miles down river, wandered off his property to take a stroll (which of course he's never done before!!) and owners were very pleased to get him back, so happy ending although AC had alot to say to them (lecture) about wandering dogs especially on melting ice. I think they'll be more vigilant after their scare. Ruby really misses him.
