cpietra16 March 5th, 2010, 08:49 PM Hi everyone, I sure missed being here. I have been a little overwhelmed with school, work, kids, cats, dog, fish...and basic sanity. I hope everyone is doing ok. Winnie and I just came back fromt he vets and she is doing as well as a 13 year old girl can do. She is slowly losing the use of her back legs. every once in awhile she will just colapse and wait until she gets the boost of strength to pull herself up. She's been on glucosamine,omega3, but the vet will be putting her on stronger stuff. She may havea tumor on her leg, but at 13 she is still playful and happy so I will just wait it out. She had an aural hematoma which was drained this morning and she is all bandaged up. I've had her for all of the 13 years and she has a pretty good life.

Have you ever heard about Italian guys who stay with there mom until they get married and even then they keep going back to their moms for supper ( I can say this because I'm Italian)..well thats how I would describe Fiona and Sky...or Mama and Benito..UGH. Sky is still trying to nurse...he towers over his mom...but she knows how to say no!! sort of... I AM STILL SEARCHING FOR A HOME... if anyone knows ofanyone who would love to have a mommy and son team ..send them my way.

I understand about Winnie as our Briar (almost 13) is the same way. He is losing use of his back legs and to topit off one of his front legs isn't doing so well. But he still is full of life. Don't you just love them.
