Hi everyone
My mom has been argueing with me that I should of never taken my dog of the Hills Z/D. I have told her it's crap food an it's over priced. I was just wondering if anyone could point me some sites that might explain why Hills is so bad so I have somthing I can show her to show its bad food.
Thanks

Here is a good website for your mom to read
http://www.dogfoodproject.com/
Another way is to have her read the ingredients on the label and have her ask herself if this is appropriate for a dog.

I have a question, though, Josh. Has your dog been diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease, and how is he doing on what he's eating now? In some cases, foods like ZD can be a lifesaver since any other intact protein food will spur life-threatening inflammation in the bowel.

No she does not have inflammatory bowl disease. She was on Nutro and was vomiting all the time so we had her checked by the vet and and she said for us to put her on the Z/D for 3 or 4 months. Which was $45 for a bag that ended up lasting for only a month. Then i got fed up with the price it was for such horrible food that we switched her to Wellness Simple Soloutions then she stopped eating that one and we put her Orijen. She seems to be ok on the Orijen though. She vomits bile now and then but the days when she does are when she doesn't eat anything (I don't think its the food).
Now if for some reason we do end up switching foods again. I would probaly put her on Canisource I think it's a new food the lady told me about at the pet store and gave mean some samples. http://www.canisource.ca/
