I have brought some cats to shelters and I gave them a healthy donation to help offset the costs. Everywhere is full and the amount of money per animal for these places is sky high.

I understand your frustration but try to understand theirs.

Have you considered starting a kitty rescue yourself, Jim? Maybe run some pet portrait fund-raisers yourself, work up an adoption application, and see if you can find them homes that way? :goodvibes:

You only have to catch them when you're having an adoptathon :o Where do they stay now? Mostly outside, don't they? Even if you only place the ones like Mama Miaow who have learned to trust you a little, at least there would be a few less out there to fend for themselves.

Aww Jim. Thank you for caring so much. I wish at times like this I were closer. I would try to help out. But this area is so over run with free cats none are being adopted. Not even the ones in rescue. I hope it's a little different for you.
Hopefully you can find some info as hazel suggested and go from there. :fingerscr
