Hi Guys and Gals,

I did some local research and went for a drive this morning.

1) First stop, Heronview(Farm) Brooklin/Whitby north.

Family O/O, they breed Leonbergers(6 in the shop) and Alpacas(was fun)

Lori is a pretty cool chick :) Very personable and helpful

http://www.heronviewrawandnatural.com/

Picked up 4lbs of Offal, Green tripe mix(40%tripe) for $6
as well as 4lbs of Green tripe for $11

Both were frozen, bagged and pre-cut into 3-4oz cubes
Could take a pic but haven't as of yet.

2) Next stop, my boys at P&F Meats(Guy, G w/ an eye), located just north of Elgin Mills(west side), on Woodbine Ave.

25lbs of meaty, meaty Chicken frames for $5
Pic attached

I plan on using the frames as Winstons bone % and cut the chicken frames into 3(6-8oz each) I ended up with 48 portions and threw out 2lbs of fat.

3) As well, I visited T&T supermarket at Promenade Mall yesterday and picked up 10lbs of Pork Ham Shank at 0.88/lb

Hope this helps one or all,

Cheers
Chris

Oh Wow...great price for the chicken backs..will make a note of that place. Heronview is always fun to go to....lots of raw and toys but Lori is a special lady and always willing to give you info and if you go when its nice..a tour of the alpacas...Here Leonberger's are just incredible dogs so well behaved for so many big dogs in one room!

Shirley1011,

Please excuse my "chick" reference. It was fully a compliment at the time.
Guess I showed my age and not my manners. However I was so excited to have found this source.

This is a beautiful thing for raw feeders in our area and I just couldn't help passing on this most nutritional info.

Um, can you go back, do another round of that, then drive it over here?

heheh

Now that we have a small freezer for his food, maybe it's just me but I would rather spend 4hrs in the kitchen once a month, as opposed to 1-2hrs each week

bendyfoot,

Where are you located in southern, ON ?

I'd be happy to arrange or attempt(lol) a group of us to meet at a few places, a few times a year, get a few bucks off a normal order because of a bulk order...

In fact, are you or anyone else, interested in creating a GTA thread ?

Great bargains, WinstonsDad!

A group monthly shop would certainly get us some sweet bulk deals...do you guys want to try to set something up? I'm in Brampton...
