Yep , I went and got Churchill http://www.pets.ca/forum/showthread.php?t=67318 :lovestruck: :cloud9:

I think he remembered me from 3 years ago , not sure. I stopped by work on my way home , everybody wanted to pet him , I told them to be calm and not overwhelm him , that I had just adopt him. But Churchill was sucking up all the attention .... what a good dog he is ! He just lay there , let people pet him , gave paw when they would stop

Got to my house , he has been here before , all the dogs were great at welcoming him. Jack barked at him a few times and scared him  Paddington already went to kiss him ... this cat loves dogs !

When he asked for the door , I thought that's it .... he ain't coming back in  he's been kept outside for the past 3 years .... but no  he came back and now he's sleeping in the sun room with us :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:

this is the only pic I have because I'm having problems with the cam battery and can only take pic while the cam is plug in. :o

I did too but .. .Churchill is sooo careful around Jack :) and he's very slow at 160 lbs so Jack has more than enough time to move. Jack follows him everywhere :p he tries to jump on him to get to his face

Churchill is very "nonchalant" , other dogs don't bother him. Even with 4 here , he probably finds it very peaceful , he's use to having a hyper gsd around him.

I am glad to see that you made it home with Churchill in one piece! Did Laia see him go? I asked Nicky at the shelter to put her outside when you came to get Churchill so she wouldn't see him leave (she always freaks when he leaves her field of vision).

Congratulations, Frenchy, on your new doggie!

Thanks everybody , he's been sleeping for a while now , they always do when they come from a shelter , lots going on there so they find it pretty peaceful in someone's house :p

I was pleasantly surprise Susie , when I saw them in the outside enclosure , Leia was playing like a nut with other dogs , and Churchill was alone in a corner. So I thought yes , Leia , finally , has dogs to play with ! When I got Churchill , I think they took Leia inside. I do hope she's ok. :goodvibes:

I was thinking ..... there's one size missing between the 7 and 40 lbs but then , I do have 3 cats :p who btw are already at ease walking through the house with the newbie dog :thumbs up my cats are awesome :cloud9:

Yes, you do have three cats too you silly woman! :D It is so nice they are at ease with the big guy already.:thumbs up When I had Kearn and Calysta in the house for a few days after their snips this week they quickly learned they are not supposed to hiss at Sammy and Keesha.
Animals are amazing creatures. They adapt so well to new surroundings. We could learn a lot from them if we took the time. :cloud9:

No, no, Frenchy. You're looking at it wrong! 40 + 30 = 70 70 +30 = 100 (that's your 40-70-100 pattern)...next in line is 100 + 30 which gives you the missing 130-pounder, right between the 100-pounder and the 160-pounder :p

So now you're looking for a 130-pound dog to adopt :thumbs up

Yes they are amazing ! Paddy walked right up to Churchill .... he always does that to newbies. And never had any problems , makes the dog go : " wow , no point on running after him if I can already smell his bum :cloud9: "

 Monsieur le chat waits a bit longer ... but only matter of hours. Coco likes the dogs better than the cats
