My little guy (Fitzy) has been doing this sneezy-type-hiccup thing lately. Like this morning we were in bed and he was kind of hiccuping or burping every 30 seconds. He was purring while it was happening, he'd kind of go "purrrrrr-vurp-purrr" so I know he's not in pain. And he's been a little bit mucus-y sounding. Things just sound wet in there.
As I type this he's walking around the living room, sniffing the carpet and doing that sneezing thing! I don't think he's sick, but I don't know if this is normal. It's odd. My husband pointed out that he sounds like he's trying to "clear his throat" sometimes, like someone would if you'd had too much dairy or something (which he doesn't eat). Our carpets were steam cleaned (no chemicals) a few months ago, and we vacuum twice a week, so I don't think he's breathing in anything weird. It's not a URI and everything else appears to be normal (well, normal for him).
Has anyone else experienced this?
