Chance

I couldn't find anything already posted about Chance, the Dolorey's family dog. You have no doubt heard or followed the tragic news story about James Delorey, a seven year old little boy from South Bar, NS, who was lost in the woods with his dog, Chance. Rescuers found him this past Monday, but sadly he died in hospital. I live in a nearby community and there wasn't a dry eye on the island when we learned that he had passed.

One of the most touching things I've seen was this drawing in the Chronicle Herald (Halifax).

I just wanted to post a small tribute to Chance, who is thought to have stayed with James the whole time he was missing. He came back to the family home and rescuers were able to trace his pawprints in the snow to the little boy. He is a true hero.

Solomio God bless Chance! I think there were many tears across the world for James. I was deeply moved and I have to say that it is times like this that your faith is truly tested! Chance no doubt kept him alive and is truly a HERO in my books!! what an amzing dog!
