I know onions are toxic but I can't find how much!

So I had some leftover turkey and dumplings for breakfast and when I finished, I decided to go to the bathroom before cleaning up (my bad). When I got back, Oscar was munching on the leftover turkey (and it was clearly a piece of turkey). The onions were in the broth and he definitely got some of that too. Am I off to the vet again? Any suggestions?

Hmm, that's a toughy. I had a similar problem, I didn't realize I'd left out a plastic container with the triad, tomatoes, peppers and onions. I freaked and called poison control and the woman told me, if one of them had a small piece they were likely okay but I had to watch them. The woman also told me they would have had to eat several teaspoons. They all seemed fine.

Have you called the vet to ask them?

I left a message for the doc so hopefully they'll call back. Why is it always Oscar?? The vet calls him my problem child!
