of the new house, the Christmas tree, of the dogs...and I'm trying! I have been trying to upload photos to photobucket all morning! It's taking forever, (sigh), does anyone know of another photo storing site that works a bit better or is photobucket the best?

Not a great shot of my kitchen, excuse the clutter on the counters, took this not too long after we moved in, still haven't got everything in its place

The downstairs familyroom, I still can't believe they managed to get this big bulky furniture down the stairs!

http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u109/Rotti35/Picsandpics051.jpg

I insisted that the big screen go downstairs, the door beside it is a big storage room with shelves. No pic of that as of yet, cuz it's a disaster area at the moment:o

The downstairs 3 pc bathroom, mostly used by our 20 yr old.

familyroom again, as you can see I haven't got my dog gallery put up yet. This room is much smaller than the huge familyroom I had at my old house, but I find this a much more cozy useable space.

Love the vaulted ceilings in this house
http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u109/Rotti35/Picsandpics081.jpg

hard to see but that's my new buffet, and above it you can see a long empty display shelf that runs all the way across to the livingroom, I'm going to start filling it up soon
http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u109/Rotti35/Picsandpics082-1.jpg

The door leads into the pantry, which I really like having but can't seem to keep it organized thanks to "ahem"...the males in the house.

Ok well thats all I got for now, will post more pics when I've gotten rid of some more boxes and when I'm a little more organized.:)

oh btw, that pot of sticks in the picture above my coat closet, well that was left by the previous owner...I'm afraid to go up there, I have a feeling they left it behind because they weren't great at uhhh..."dusting".:frustrated:

It's laid out much differently than the last house, much more useable space.
My son is able to function much better in this house with his wheelchair, and we only have to do stairs occassionally, but much to his credit he's going down the stairs on his own now (crawling backwards), coming up is more difficult, but we only go down there for family movie night, once every couple weeks.

Thanks, I like the color too, I didn't at first but it's really growing on me.

I love the homes in Alberta, they seem to put so much more into the architecture to make a home more interesting than they do here in boring Ontario.

Sooooo, I see two pits and one rottie but no kitties :yell: :D

Ohhhh :o...to be honest I haven't taken pics of the kitties since we've moved in...my bad:o...I'll rectify that soon.

Unbeknownst to me, while uploading pics this morning, these pics appeared on my camera. Compliments of hubby who knows how much I hate having my pic taken, and took advantage of the fact that I was power napping on the loveseat, Kato must've known that I was cold cuz he jumped up to nuggle with me and keep me warm.

...yes you are supposed to dust up on the top of those shelf things....I still haven't gotten up there...too afraid I'll be attacked by some huge rabit dust bunnies

Ya know, I must've been really tired when the nuggle pics were taken, because Kato is 100lbs, and I didn't even feel him climb up or lay on me!
Sneaky boy that he is.:lovestruck:

Thank you Cath, and Kato thanks you too:D
I think he's handsome too, at the risk of sounding biased:laughing:
He's most certainly the biggest baby of the group, my second shadow.
He's also the most stubborn, pig headed, Goober I've ever known!
Even with all his training, he challenges me every single day  , he gets amusement out of seeing how far he can push me, but in the end, he always "lets me win".

Your new home is beautiful LMPG. Congratulations!

We had the "no dogs on the furniture" rule here too. 'Cept it was the easiest rule to break .

Ya know luckypenny, I have no idea what I'm going to put up there. I was thinking that maybe I would start a collection of unique glass vases or something.
I have a beautiful rooster collection, but it just doesn't fit in with the style of this house.
In the meantime, I'm going to put up my snowman collection for the holidays, even tho I don't think I have enough to really fill the space adequately.
Got any ideas of what I could put up there after the holidays?

Yes "no dogs on the furniture" is the easiest rule to break , I agree! Infact Kato is breaking the rule right now!

Hi LMPG ... about your display shelf I bet you would be surprised at how great your collection of Roosters would look :). My mother also has a collection and it has worked beautifully in with her 'modern' home! Just a suggestion but try putting a few out and mixing them with some other items (glass vases, books on their sides, tall, short, round, square items). It will create visual interest, just don't put all the same things up there. That's my two cents :o warranted or not . Make sure that whatever you decide you take some pics!!! :D Good luck!

Thank you for the ideas Cath! I spent a better part of this afternoon just staring up there trying to picture what I can do up there:laughing:
I have some interesting glass pieces, and a very cool old fashioned picnic basket that I would like to incorporate somehow. I will take pics, but I'm not going to worry about it until after the holidays, cuz for now it will be home to my garland and snowmen!:D

Beautiful home! I have to say, I actually like that light fixture in the dinging room. I really love the stairs leading to the basement and the basement living area. It all looks so cozy!

Hubby likes the light fixture, but I prefer something with a little more "sparkle" to it. The same fixture hangs over the front door area, and I don't mind it there, but I want something with a little more "bling" over the diningtable.
I love the basement it is very cozy, altho I spend most of my time upstairs.

Love the pic with you and Kato,at first I thought it was a young boy with him:laughing:

If I had a big house like that,I would never find hubby:laughing:

 a very young boy!? It's this stupid haircut! I had an inverted bob and then I got it cut off into a "boycut" and now I'm trying to grow it back into an inverted bob:laughing: When it comes to my hair...I'm never satisfied...I so regret getting all my long curly hair cut off:sad:
I will get kitty pics after the weekend. I'm babysitting my "grand~dog" the kitty killer, so my kitties get locked up in the spare room this weekend. I hate doing that to them but I have no choice when my son isn't home to help keep an eye on him.
