Sam is one of my three , recently, adopted older cats. We think he's about 5-6. He and his cell mate were a couple days away from being put down. We couldn't leave one behind. :(

Sam is such a lover kitty. He has really snuggled up to me.
This is our neighbor cat. He's about 20+ I was so upset the past mo because his owner left town for a whole mo, leaving old man cat outside! After seeing the cat outside at night for a couple nights I realized what was going on. The cat was left out all day and when the son comes home he'd let the cat back in, sometime around 10 pm! Rain, snow...you name it. So I got upset and started putting old man cat in during the day before I went to work. Then around 10ish I'd let him back out. I kept the cat over night one night to try and teach the guy a lesson. I know he was out looking for the cat. The owner is home now and I don't see the cat outside like I used to. When I have a moment I'm going to talk to the neighbor. Argh

And thank you for looking after the neighbours' cat. They certainly don't deserve him.

This old gal is Toonsies. Her owner died and family left her at one of our worse shelters. When I got her she was pretty sick. But all better now. And, WOW, is she a talker!!

Last , but not least, this is charlie. He wants out so bad.But my cats are indoor cats, only. So no go.

Charlie and Sam were jail mates together. I couldn't take one and leave the other. Heck, it was too hard to leave the other HUNDREDs of cats/dogs.

Love the colours on Toonsies. Very unusual. Charlie - be a good boy and stay in now. And turn around so we can see your sweet face. :cloud9:
Thank you for rescuing the older ones. They are the ones sorely in need. I know the feeling about not leaving all the rest behind. It's the biggest reason I have so many. :D

I've bombed everyone with photos. So I'll slow down now that you've met my critters. I want to spend time looking at other photos. I love looking at everyone's babies.

Oh, good. I usually have a camera in one hand and an animal near by :)

Ohhhhh, your kitties are so beautiful :cloud9: :lovestruck: and your neighbour's kitty too.
Thank you for rescuing these kitties . I find it so difficult to go into a shelter and not cry, I want to take them all home .
Do you think you could harness Charlie and walk him so he can get outside and sniff about?
October 28th, 2009, 08:28 AM
You've got a gorgeous bunch there. Thank you so much for taking in adult cats.
October 28th, 2009, 11:31 AM
You're right, your tuxedo cat's markings really do make him resemble Charlie Chaplin.

What beautiful kitties. Thank you for rescuing these older beauties. And thank you for taking care of the neighbours kitty too! Maybe you can suggest that next time you can help with taking care of kitty if they want.
October 28th, 2009, 04:15 PM
Oh, I never thought about a harness. I could do that. He must have been an outside kitty, he sure misses it. I'll try that.

Sammy has really adopted me. He follows me from room to room. If I'm online he will walk over and sit on the keyboard . I am usually typing and petting him at the same time. I think he's the lover of the group of kittykats.
October 30th, 2009, 05:16 PM
Sam is absolutely gorgeous!
October 30th, 2009, 06:13 PM
