Meet Joey :)

A person in my community is giving away this Little guy because he doesnt get along with her child and nips (Another case of not teaching the child). He is a scared little guy. He lays flat to the floor if you approach him because he was abused in his Previous (not the one he is in now) home. The smacked him and yelled if he barked or had an accident.

He was a stray from alberta and is about 6 years old. Weghing in at a whopping 2 lbss..

He i, without a doubt the funiest looking dog I have ever seen (I cant get over those EYES! ) but I adore him. Im goign to see what mom thinks or him (i already showed him to dad, I brought him home with me for a few minutes) and talk about maybe keeping him? He has had 4 homes in the last 2 years, and I would like his new home to be PERMANENT, and the only way to assure that is Taking him in myself.. He adores keely and vice versa.

You can see how nervous he is in the pics. Oddly enough, he doesnt look as chi like in pics. But there is no dobt he is part chi. Even his fur screams chi.

Well, it seems I have wrote a novel, so without any furthur ado, heres JOEY! (Aka, killer)

Checkin things out.

hes so CUTE. Keely has a crush.

And so do I. :)

Thats it.

Thanks everybody!

I havent talked to mom about him yet.. but he is only what, 2 lbs? How much trouble can he be? He must only eat a few kibbles a day!

I do not know the cause of that. He is still living with his owners and I still need to ask mom more about it and talk it over. There are so many things we have to consder before adopting him ya know? Stll have to see if ts the rght decision for all of us, ncludng him..

I dont thnk he has seen a vet, ths family isnt the type to vet their animals (Its the same lady that asked me if wanted to breed keely with her dog actually.)

Oh he's gorgeous :flirt: He looks like he may have been walked using a halti or perhaps shoving his nose through the bars of a kennel. I had a couple of dogs who looked like that ;) I hope you get to help him out, he's sweet!

He's very sweet. A halti wouldn't rub the hair off the front of his nose though. Looks more like a licking or allergy kind of thing. Good luck with the parents...

Well, My family has talked it over, And unfortunatly we have come to the decision that he is not the right fit for our family.

Its a size matter actually, And i know that sounds terrible, almost like saying somebody wouldnt want keely because she is 8 lbs and not to standard.

But it just would not work.. Keely is a rough player. Its who she is and cannot be changed. If she cant be rough, she isnt having fun. She cant help it, she is used to playing with German shepherds and labs and they can keep up with her.

Keely and Joey had a playdate yesterday. And keely hurt him. Nothing serious but he yelped and limped a little but was fine afterwards. I had to stop them from playng and crate keely until it was time to bring him home. I just dont want to risk it.

Another thing. I dont think he is even 2 lbs and my dad will be getting a German shepherd in the future.. I know a 8 week old GSD puppy wouldnt TRY to hurt him.. But we all know the pup wouldnt know the differance and would already be 5-6 times the size of joey!

We pretty much had to take it all into consideration. I dont think he would be ct out for winter trips to the cabin. keely goes on skidoo with us and goes for long hikes in the snow and we even skijore. joeys owner already mentioned he cannot be outside in the cold even with a coat on for any mount of time or he shivers and shakes.

It sucks because I fell in love with him... but i will definatly be helping find a home that is suited for him. Somebody that is willing to make a Lifetime commitment (thed dogs lifetime). Somebody that is able to work with his special "Tiny dog needs". And somebody to work on bulding his confidance. I know they might be hard to find But that "Somebody" is out there. I just gotta find him/her.

If we could arrange a transport from there to here, he'd have a lifetime home with us :lovestruck:
