Here is a video of Kiley, our daughter, with "her kitty" Raisins.Raisins has bonded with my daughter much moreso over DH and I, follows Kiley around all day, and vice versa. My Mom was babysitting Kiley while DH and I were taking the dogs for a walk.
Because she is so young, she is obviously still learning how to properly handle an animal, so I'm sure some of you will cringe (as we did along with nervous laughter:rolleyes:) when we watched this video and saw how 'relaxed' my Mom was about certain handling techniques of my daughter, but DH and I always ensure supervision when our daughter is interacting with our animals for her safety and theirs. For the most part however, Kiley is gentle, especially for her age.
Enjoy the video!

 I'm sure she'd love to give them cuddles too Aslan.
This is the thing with Raisins, generally we're like :eek:OH MY DAWG Run for your Life Cat!! and she doesn't care. If she gets annoyed, she'll sneak away, but she always comes back for more, and Kiley loves it. :D

my sisters two cats were like that too, my nephew could do whatever he wanted to them and they didn't care, purred away...they must know the little ones aren't trying to deliberately hurt them.

OMG Bailey - your daughter is such a cutie! That kitten sure has a wonderful disposition and even though there are some cringing moments, your daughter listens so well to the direction given. I can clearly see how much she loves that kitten and the kitten does not seem to protest too much to the handling. There is certain love in the air.
I can detect a future rescuer....:thumbs up

Thanks BenMax!! DH and I have worked incredibly hard to show her the right way to care for animals as soon as she was old enough to be aware of them. Although in some ways we think we may have instilled these things a little too much - she seems to get so overwhelmed by her love for animals and being 'gentle' that she will literally circle around a dog or one of the cats, around and around, until she finally will touch it.
She's normally not EVER allowed to touch our pets heads, just a personal rule that we abide by until she is older, but obviously Grandma lets her get away with a few things when Mommy and Daddy aren't around.

I agree!!! :D
