help with info- for us and our small terrier.

for the last two weeks i am searching the net like crazy in order to find a pet friendly, reasonably priced accomodation in toronto for us (freshly married) and our small terrier for a few days.
we almost gave up.
any first hand information will be great.
please don't send us to one of the internet sites dealing with pets friendly accomodation. they usualy deals with expensive hotels/motels and i have already searched them back and forth
we are even willing to stay at a private house and pay for it
