These two Monarchs were happily munching away today,they were even in the Monkshood flower...I am always happy to see them:thumbs up

Thanks Chico..Monarchs are considered endangered. We had to do a bug collection for school and were told that we COULD NOT have any monarchs in our collection.

We've been seeing a few, but it seems like the main push is already south of here. About all we're seeing now are the mourning cloaks, which will hibernate locally.

We have not seen much of anything this year,we usually have an abundance of the little yellowish/white butterflies,hardly any this year,the same with Dragon-flies:sad:

Same here, chico. We've had a handful of cabbage whites and a few of the clouded sulfurs, but that's it :shrug: I think it was just too cool for them this year.
:fingerscr that next year is better!
ETA: we have had a pretty healthy number of dragonflies, though...
