OK, so this pic is veeeeerry fuzzy. :o It was taken through a patio door at a very great distance, 'cause as soon as Phoebe hears the click of the lock on the door, she comes running, and that's the end of the photo op. On the left is Phoebe, the 4mth old Shep/CollX. On the right is the back end of Brooklyn, the 9yr old DSH. In the middle is their favorite "tag bush". They crouch on either side of it. Then one pops out and tags the other on the butt, then crouches down to hide again. The other then pops out of the other side and tags the first one. This goes on for quite some time, until Brooklyn decides he's not behaving like a civilised cat anymore and calls a stop to the game. :D I've also included a close-up of the two of them, 'cause they're just sooo cute!

Yeah, he doesn't want to let Phoebe know it, but he actually enjoys her company. ;) He's a typical cat - very aloof, reserved, dignified - but every once in a while he lets his guard down and actually plays with her. It's very funny to watch, he gets very silly. :D
We've named all our pets after TV charcaters. Murphy was for Murphy Brown. Brooklyn was named after a cartoon character (the show was called "Gargoyles"). Phoebe, of course, is from Friends - insted of Phoebe Buffet, it's Phoebe Wooffet!! :D
PS. You can't really tell in the pic, but Brook is actually butting his head against Phoebe - I'm told this is a sign of affection! :p

How long did it take for your cat to accept the pup??

Oh, about a day. He was used to having Murphy around, and so was missing the canine company. He's not too thrilled with her puppy exuberance, but he puts up with it as best he can. He forgets what a pain in the you-know-what he was to Murphy when he was a kitten!! What goes around, comes around, Brooky baby!! :D

They are so pretty. I love the picture of the dog and the cat. My cat acts like he hates MeatLoaf (dog) but he is coming around. I think that if we could get MeatLoaf to stop barking he would like him more. Cry Baby (cat) is always like mom make him SHUT UP he is so annoying but they are becoming friends. I just have to keep and eye that the dog is not chasing and the cat and the cat is not trying to kill the dog.! LOL :p ;)
