Cat is Wheezing

I took in a foster cat approximately six months ago. When I first got her she wheezed all the time but as she gained weight and got comfortable in my home, it significantly decreased. I have started noticing that she does it more when she is stressed (upon return from a visit to the vet, after being brushed which she hates) Does anybody know what could be causing this. Other than the wheezing, she has no nasal discharge, her eyes are clear and everything else is completely normal. When she does do it, it usually lasts for approximately 10 to 20 seconds at a time. I'm torn regarding taking her in as she has absolutely no other symptons. Has anybody had this happen?

Maybe asthma, that was my first thought too, scm. It could also aggravated by allergies, is she indoor or outdoor?

She is an indoor cat only so I guess I need to figure out if there is something in my house that is triggering the wheezing....

i woukld think if it was asthma the vet should be able to hear that?
