ancientgirl August 21st, 2009, 06:28 PM I started a new scrapbook last weekend and finally got some photos. I'll be working on more this weekend, and using the cook stuff pages Winston sent me!:D
Here's the first page. I found these cute crowns.

This is the second page. I love the stickers.
Maks: "Do I know you?"
Kiska: "Help."
Czarina: "Snap that picture and your dead meat."
Oksana: "I'm trying to look like I'm having fun."
Vlad: "Huh?"

hazelrunpack August 21st, 2009, 08:57 PM Love the crowns! Every royal kitty needs a crown to complete his or her wardrobe! :D
So do you have enough free book-shelves to accommodate all your future scrapbooks? madame hazel's crystal ball sees a lot of them in your future! :thumbs up It would be a shame not to have them on display!
14+kitties August 22nd, 2009, 10:26 AM Wonderful new pages! It was so nice of Winston to send you the scrapbooking stuff. I'm sure you will put it to lots of good use. Love the little crowns.
And Czari - Queen Mother! That is so funny!!! :thumbs up
ancientgirl August 22nd, 2009, 11:13 AM Hazel, I've got no bookshelf space, but, I've got lots of free wall space! :D I like buying nice books because I figure, I can always put them on a wall shelf and display them.
14+, yes Winston sent me some lovely things, much like you did. I'm looking forward to sitting down and working on more pages.
:laughing:I figure, since she does seem to go around trying to put everyone in their place, she's certainly the mother figure around here.
ancientgirl August 30th, 2009, 03:24 PM A few more pages. I incorporated some of the stuff Winston sent me.
Here's Maks and Vlad.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v516/ancientgirl/Wicked%20Cats%208/015-2.jpg
Vlad, the party animal.

LOL, Maks does have his wild days.

ancientgirl August 30th, 2009, 03:26 PM Here are the best buds.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v516/ancientgirl/Wicked%20Cats%208/017-2.jpg
Now on to Kiska. Winston had sent me a package that was for baby boys and one for baby girls. I changed a few things, so as not to show a whole lot baby type stuff, but I really liked the layout of the page. I think it came out nice.

ancientgirl August 30th, 2009, 03:31 PM This is from the first or second day I had my Tiny Miss.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v516/ancientgirl/Wicked%20Cats%208/021-2.jpg
I love this shot of her. I have one of her in the same spot, same post but a year later. You can really see how much she'd grown, but not much. LOL
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v516/ancientgirl/Wicked%20Cats%208/022-2.jpg
Here I had to block out the "baby girl" with the hearts. And i also added the giraffe, leafe and butterflies to cover the baby stuff, but I thought the bunny was really cute.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v516/ancientgirl/Wicked%20Cats%208/023-1.jpg
That's it for today. It took me a while to do these two, since I had so many assistants.
I'm looking for some storage. I'm accumulating more and more stuff and need a place to better organize it all.
edwina August 30th, 2009, 06:38 PM Cool pages, cute pics. :thumbs up I like the paper. I have to get some more paper before i do more pages. :)
Scrapbooking is so addictive.
14+kitties August 30th, 2009, 06:42 PM Love the new pages AG!! Little Kiska.... :cloud9: What a cutie!! Isn't it great looking at old pics? Brings back so many memories. :lovestruck:
ancientgirl August 30th, 2009, 06:45 PM I love and hate looking at old photos. I love seeing how adorable they were as kittens, but its sad knowing how fast they are growing.
Winston August 30th, 2009, 09:43 PM Nice work AG! Glad to see you enjoying it! I like to do that and I also cross stitch. Have you ever tried that? I am working on a really tough picture at the moment...cross stitching is very time consuming though..I did a very large ppicture of a house and garden and it took me 6 yrs to finish the darn thing! beautiful in the end though!
Love to see the baby pics of the gang! :thumbs up
ancientgirl August 31st, 2009, 07:49 AM Winston, I've never cross stitched, but it's something that I might like to do at some point. 14+ sent me a box of stuff, which included some stuff to stitch on plastic board. I've been focusing on the scrapbooking for now though, since I'm really enjoying it so much. I'd like to maybe find a class or something on knitting at some point too.
How big was the project you did that took you 6 years?
Winston August 31st, 2009, 08:00 AM heres a pic.....i had it framed too which was expensive but so worth the money!
Winston August 31st, 2009, 08:01 AM AG I forgot to mention that you can get a book at the library on how to knit or crochet...its super easy! :thumbs up
ancientgirl August 31st, 2009, 08:20 AM Wow, that's beautiful! It looks like a painting. I love the water area. You did a marvelous job!
I avoid going to the library. I lost some books a few years ago, after a move and they want to charge me like $30 for them!
Winston August 31st, 2009, 09:17 AM Its not the typical cross stitch though. You can get two kinds...this one has a pre printed pattern on it and the other way is just plain aida cloth with the squares in it and you do the whole picture...
I love going to the library...I can get movies, books, and for you maybe youll hook up with someone there! maybe they will let youpay the fine off slowly!
ancientgirl August 31st, 2009, 09:50 AM I love going to the library...I can get movies, books, and for you maybe youll hook up with someone there! maybe they will let youpay the fine off slowly!
The last time I checked was a couple of years ago. Maybe the statute of limitations is over. Seriously, I felt bad I lost the books, but charging me 3 times what they were worth is a little crazy.
ancientgirl September 10th, 2009, 08:35 AM I don't have a table to work on, so I decided to use the sofa table I keep against the dining room wall, and actually put it behind the sofa. It worked out quite well. I made a couple of pages this past weekend.
Here is an Oksana page.

ownedbycats September 10th, 2009, 10:48 AM AG, I know $30 sounds like a lot but do the math. Each paper back pook costs approximately $10. if you had 3 paperbacks, that is $30 dollars right there. Plus, the supplies and time it takes to add and remove each book from the library catalogue. If the books were hardcover, well, a single hardcover can run anywhere from $25 to $40 dollars for fiction.
Yes, I'm a bookworm, I inherited it.

LOL, true, but when the books are worn, used and several years out of date the value does go down. Heck, if I buy a book new for $10 then try to sell it even a year or two later, the value goes down.
