A Visit to Toonces

We went to stay with Toonces and her Furgang this past weekend. Both her and Petey (GSD) fell in love with Kailey, who is MUCH more comfortable with new people and places than she was when we were last there at Christmas.

Only problem was that Kailey thinks all kitties are as tolerant as her Rupert :rolleyes: I'm surprised that she didn't give the elderly gentleman Toonces a heart attack when she tried to wrestle him. He hissed at her the rest of the weekend. :laughing:

We had a fab time and they all got along so well, Currie yes she is quite the girl Brandy on the other hand got he nose out of joint when Petey and Kailey would rough house she would voice herself quite loudly!:laughing: The kitties just did not know what to make of kailey my dogs never engage in play with them, espically with Toonces they know he is the king and should not be bothered

No, it's actually just a weird reflection from her ID tag. :)

She doesn't usually get tennis balls, since they're not so great for the teeth. We have rubber Kong balls at home....but they're too expensive to lose so they don't go travelling! She managed to find this one at Toonces house...it was hiding since her dogs aren't toy fiends like mine are!

Poor Kailey just goes full steam ahead and doesn't always think first. She's lucky she didn't get a claw to the snout at any point this weekend! Silly girl. I now know how GSD can be vocal :laughing: ever since I fostered one (Jaid) and because of this , little bugger actually made me cry when I dropped her off to her new family , I had to leave pronto because she was screaming her head off when I went back to my car to get her stuff out :sad: first foster ever to make me feel like I was abandoning her :sad:

I can't imagine have more than one in one house :laughing: must be quite the chats :laughing:

Yes they are quite vocal and can be real heartbreakers! Frenchy my house is for sale we could be neighbours we are building right next door I have 2 acres fenced in hint hint nudge nudge:D Next house we are having more fenced in and eventually I would like to get some livestock if I can convince hubby, chickens for the eggs, goats cause they are cute, and alpacas for the wool, I could never have anything to raise for human consumption, would be my dream oh and of course a few donkeys:cloud9:

Do I ever know about tennis ball homicides, every time I buy Beau a toy with one attached to a ropey , the ball lasts all of five mins, then its in the bin, I think the Kongs are the only survivers in my house too lol :laughing:

Yeah Frenchy it would be a long drive to bad we were not all closer to have a big doggy party. Chase's mom I am working on hubby for the goats and stuff don't know how far I am going to get but we are zoned A so its not impossible.

Edwina Toonces name came from an old skit on SNL "Toonces the driving cat"

It is always hard to leave Toonces' place - it's a great relaxing time for both furries and humans! Definately planning to go back for a long weekend when I take my holidays in late September. :D

Good to know - the solid rubber Kong balls I have cost at least $15 each! :eek: I never let them out of the house!
