ancientgirl July 30th, 2009, 12:23 PM The other morning I was woken up by a crash. Since I've gotten used to this sound, I hurried, but not too much, since the crash didn't sound like it was anything huge. Still, I rushed downstairs and turned on the light to see what the damage was and who the perpetrator was.
No surprise, it was Vlad! Oy!
I've got this sort of coat rack thing at the end of my hall right next to the kitchen entrance. I put my keys and my purse there as soon as I walk through the door. Anyway, I have a small Virgin Mary statue, made of ceramic, there. Well, Vlad knocked her down and was playing with her head, which had broken off!
I should have known better than to leave her up there. I had to move the larger statue I had of St. Barbara after he shoved her off the top and her hands broke off.
I had a feeling naming him after Vlad the Impaler a.k.a. Dracula, would have some interesting repercussions.

LOL, Jim that's exactly true. Had it been louder I would have jumped out of bed.
Scary thing though, about 2 weeks ago I heard a very loud crash, and shot out of bed so fast and down the stairs I barely had time to think. I get downstairs and...nothing. Zero! Nothing in the living room or in the kitchen. And I know I heard a crash.
edwina July 30th, 2009, 12:35 PM You people are too funny.:laughing:

Dog Dancer July 30th, 2009, 02:07 PM Too funny. Having had cats before I can relate.
Jim's list reminds me of the "Hurka Gurka Clock", it's an alarm clock for people who can't get out of bed. It makes the sound of a cat that's about to bring up a hair ball - you know the sound .... :yuck: Guaranteed to get you outta bed and running - no snooze button required.
Jim Hall July 30th, 2009, 02:20 PM now see that wouldnt work for me i wuld try to remeber where it was but hey i dont need to see kit doing that been there watched that have the vidioe
Dog Dancer July 30th, 2009, 02:44 PM Ah, but you see I would have been running to try to find the cat and get him/her off the couch/bed/counter before they left the deposit. Not so I could watch.
Jim Hall July 30th, 2009, 03:17 PM well what do you do pick the kit up? and put her where you want or just toss a towel under her? besided thats why the make orange clean let it dry alittle not so yucky
Dog Dancer July 30th, 2009, 03:24 PM Well when dogs go to hurl I will try to redirect them off the carpets yes. It's much easier to clean the floor. Anyhow, it was a joke.
TacoGrl July 30th, 2009, 03:47 PM I redirect my kits...I agree, it is easier to clean off the tiles...my Mooki would always jump up on me to share :D
As for crashes...been there...the invisible crash  The best is that they both SIT there STARING at YOU while YOU try to find what it is THEY have gotten into and/or broken :frustrated:

Hearing the sound of a kitty hoarking up a hair ball would not be enough to get me out of bed. I figure it will still be there in the morning when I am walking around in my bare feet just waiting to be found - it's better then - nice and cold and oozing between your toes:laughing:
Now the crash scale, depending on where the noise occurs, it may require immediate getting up from bed, but you have to be careful there too, I have more than once had 2 or more kitties decide to follow me downstairs to do their own check and get between my feet when I am half asleep. Maybe it's best unless the crash is accompanied by a howl of pain, just to wait. It too will be there in the morning.
Love the holy water - hope Vlad decides to resist:D

Why is it you always find it that way ? :frustrated:

The reason they do this is because it was them making the noise and they are trying to stop you from seeing what they did. They figure they would slow you down a bit.
