I want to take a 2 month old stray kitten from Bulgaria to Canada via Air France. I have a stop to France for 1 hour. Can you please let me know what are the requirements. It is urgent.

Here's some info for you on importing cats into Canada: http://www.inspection.gc.ca/english/anima/imp/petani/feline.shtml

Since this cat is less than 3 months, it should be fairly easy:
Domestic or pet cats less than three months of age can enter Canada for any period of time without vaccination, quarantine, or certification.

Since he's so young, I would also make sure you take him as carry-on, if Air France allows it (contact them about it).

Do I also need to take under consideration the requirements in France since I will have 1 hour stop in France?

Thank you for replying.

If anyone else knows about this subject please let me know. I really need to take the kitten otherwise he will be on the streets.

I would think if you called the airlines, explained the situation and where you plan on going, they can either look up the information themselves or give you contact information where you can go find out yourself.

Also there are customs and immigration websites for just about every country. And enough mind numbing, yawn inducing reading material to inform the public about rules and regulations.
